Yangarra have also been great supporters of our Mummy’s Wine Club, with award wining winemaker Pete Fraser.
They have such lovely lawns for a “family hang out”, with plenty of space outside for kids to roam. The Winey Kid loved the games box too! Can’t beat a game of Twister at a cellar door.
We all also loved tasting their home grown honey, which is available for purchase.
For a nominal tasting fee of $10 per person, guests are invited to sit down and taste through the Yangarra wine range. Included with your tasting is a Spiegalau Yangarra-branded stemless wine glass to take home as a memento of your time there!
We use the word premium for Yangarra as the cellar door is beautiful, soft furnishings, sinkable sofa chairs, low tables with stunning Spiegalau stemless wine glasses… get the picture?
The inside of the cellar door is not suitable for toddlers, and neither should it be, this is a great book the baby sitter experience. Prams inside the cellar door would also be hard.
We had our crawling and exploring 9 month with us, and no doubt it wouldn’t have been such a relaxing experience had we been inside.
However, ask to be seated outside on their beautiful deck and the kids will love exploring the beautiful garden and lawns. Another option we highly recommend is simply grabbing a bottle of their delicious wine and settling in for a few hours! Our hot tip is the 2016 Roussanne!
Pay them a visit and if your kids are well behaved, tell them Winey Kids sent you!
