This has to be THE most parent friendly winery on record! We spent a good hour here one afternoon – tasting wine then enjoying a glass of red under the shady gum trees.
With a toddler in tow, there’s something incredibly comforting about seeing a huge box of toys and books in the corner of the tasting room. It’s almost an unwritten ‘little person, you are welcome here’ message and the toys kept Little Miss entertained whilst we tasted.
We then purchased a glass each and sat at a huge wooden table adjacent to the play area. Yes, play area. A winery with a play area! Our little lady was still a bit little to make the most of the equipment but the meandering paths and shrubs made for great exploration and kept her very entertained. The cellar door staff even offered for her to take some toys to our table so Mum ad Dad could enjoy their wine. Now that’s parent friendly.
There’s also a wildlife sanctuary at Woodstock which we didn’t check out but it just adds to its appeal as an easy-to-visit winery with a toddler in tow. Feeding takes place at 11.30am everyday and you are welcome to come see!
