A visit to WayWood Wines means a really good rummage through their games box. Note, games box not toy box!
What we really love about the family friendly nature of this beautiful cellar door is the range of activities they’ve got for the Winey Kids – big and little. Everything from Line Up 4, Twister, Chess and Jenga, to loom bands and duplo.
But of course, the high quality games box only represents the high quality wine and food. This place has style! We happily spend a few relaxing hours here.
Oh, and be prepared for a few games of “fetch” with beautiful Waywood Wines winery dog Holly! She never stops wanting to play!
Lisa creates some amazing food through her Luscious Red Food menu, and is always thinking of new items for the kids and adults. This isn’t your chicken nuggets kind of menu, her passion for food is reflected in the fresh kids offering she creates.
Our little one’s favourite has to be the Mac Cheese balls! Always best to give them a call ahead if you have any food requirements, Lisa is always happy to help where she can!
For the adults a tasting structure with matched food is great, always freshly prepared, this isn’t a quick stop destination, its an opportunity to sit back and relax!
We visited here when pregnant, and they were brilliant, serving ice cold ginger beer and pregnancy friendly food (without asking), this is part of the high service level these guys have set themselves.
Let’s not forget about the wine, some great varieties and our particular favourite are the Montepulciano – various vintages and also the Fluzi Quattro. Another adventure is to check out the WayWood Years Series, some nice bold wines full of flavour.
Pop in to see Andrew, Lisa and Holly and tell them Winey Kids sent you.
